THE CAT is a film that tells the frightened protagonist, So-yeon (Park Min-yeong) is a pet groomer who suffer from claustrophobia comes from childhood experiences.
One day, one customer's So-yeon who die in elevators, Bi-and left her cat behind. Mystery of who killed the woman in the elevator is not known, and the cat was the only witness. As the police began their investigation, they asked for So-yeon to take care of Bi-and. But something strange happened to So-yeon from the day he brought home-and Bi.
So-yeon started having nightmares in which she saw a little girl who keeps coming back to haunt his dreams. Scared and not sure what this might mean, So-yeon began investigating the mystery of the cat and its owner's death when his close friend, who also recently got a cat, dead.
